Filmed back-to-back DJ set by Adam Beyer and Joseph Capriati at the Mixmag Lab in Miami, on 27 March 2014, during Winter Music Conference (Miami Music Week). Two major techno figures trade off at the decks in the studio-live format typical of Mixmag sessions, filmed close to the DJs, with cameras trained on the hands and the mixer. Sweden’s Adam Beyer, head of the Drumcode label, and Italy’s Joseph Capriati, then rising fast on the international circuit, deliver a long performance of melodic, percussive techno — dense and hypnotic, built for the dancefloor as much as for the camera. This live capture documents the chemistry of two selectors who would go on to play many more back-to-backs on Europe’s big stages and in Ibiza. Recorded during one of the year’s most intense electronic-music weeks in Miami, it is a continuous techno set with no dead time, representative of the mid-2010s Drumcode sound and a reference for fans of live mixing and club techno.
