Full concert of Culture at the Reggae Sundance festival, in Eindhoven (Netherlands), on 12 August 2006. This filmed live concert is widely presented as the last recorded performance of Joseph Hill, singer and founder of the Jamaican group, who died a week later, on 19 August 2006, in Berlin, during the same tour. A major figure of roots reggae, Joseph Hill brings to the stage the spiritual and social message that made Culture’s name since the classic « Two Sevens Clash » (1977). Before the Dutch festival crowd, he delivers a deep roots set, blending militant vocals, reggae groove and charismatic presence. Beyond its musical quality, this capture holds rare documentary and emotional value as the ultimate testimony of an emblematic artist. An essential reggae full concert for roots lovers and for the history of Jamaican music. (As the setlist could not be verified from a reliable source, it is not reproduced.)
