A live session filmed for Absolute Radio in 2025, in which England’s The Charlatans perform five songs. A major figure of the indie rock and Madchester “baggy” scene, the band led by Tim Burgess pairs its historic hits with tracks from its new album We Are Love. The set runs through “The Only One I Know,” “North Country Boy,” the new “We Are Love,” “Just When You’re Thinkin’ Things Over” and “Deeper and Deeper.” Active since the late 1980s, The Charlatans have crossed the decades while keeping their recognisable blend of Hammond organ, rhythmic groove and pop-rock melodies. This live recording highlights the longevity of a band that keeps writing new songs while honouring its catalogue. A filmed live concert to discover for fans of British rock, indie rock and the Manchester scene. An ideal live set for following a cult band still going strong.
