Acoustic live session by Bosnian singer Adi Šoše, backed by the AL Music Band, filmed in 2025 as part of an “Unplugged” concert produced by AL Music. An heir to the sensibility of sevdalinka, the traditional song of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Adi Šoše offers a contemporary, stripped-down reading of it here, carried by compositions written by Amil Lojo. Across six tracks — “Kazna,” “Nevrijeme,” “Tajno moja,” “Zabranjena riječ,” “Otkad nema nas” and “San o Mostaru” — the voice rests on an acoustic setting in which piano, guitar, bass, accordion, violin and percussion converse, with female backing vocals. The unplugged format lays bare the melody and the emotion, in an intimate aesthetic far removed from the saturated productions of regional pop. This careful capture makes this filmed live concert a fine gateway to today’s Balkan music scene, between folk, singer-songwriter song and the sevdah tradition. For anyone discovering the music of southeastern Europe, Adi Šoše’s performance illustrates the vitality of a heritage reinvented by a new generation of performers and arrangers.
