Two tutelary figures of Berlin’s Berghain together behind the decks: Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann, historic residents of the Ostgut Ton label, deliver a sprawling b2b (back-to-back) set at Turin’s Kappa FuturFestival in 2026. Filmed for DJ Mag, this daytime DJ set, captured before the Italian festival’s crowd, showcases the art of dialogue between two selectors who shaped the sound of modern Berlin techno: relentless, hypnotic, built for wide-open spaces. For nearly two hours, the pair trade records, ratchet up the tension in stages and roll out a hard, stripped-back techno of massive kicks, industrial pads and controlled breaks. The years-honed chemistry between Klock and Dettmann gives this live set a rare coherence for a four-handed exercise. It is a valuable document for understanding the aesthetic of German club techno transposed to the scale of an open-air festival. One for fans of demanding live techno and extended sets, shot with DJ Mag’s festival production values.
