Why this recording

Three decades of British techno come through in the career summary in the description: the Theory, Hardgroove and Symbolism labels, releases on Tresor, Drumcode and CLR, the Machine club night co-founded with Kirk Degiorgio, and the monthly Run It Red show on NTS. SECTION., which posted the video, dates the set to August 2026 and frames it as an hour with a benchmark DJ. The description stresses what the Machine night and the radio show share: championing new music only, often ahead of the wider scene.
