Why this recording

Streamed live on July 25, 2021 by Times Square Church itself, this worship concert is built in three blocks, one per singer. CeCe Winans opens with four songs including 'Believe For It', Marvin Winans follows with five, among them the hymns 'Sweet Hour of Prayer', 'Abide With Me' and 'It Is Well', then Donnie McClurkin takes over through 'Stand' at 1:14:24. It closes on 'How Great Is Our God' (1:26:26), and Pastor Tim's address at 2:41 is a reminder that this was a worship night as much as a concert.

Filmed live gospel concert featuring CeCe Winans at Times Square Church in New York on 25 July 2021, during a livestreamed night of worship. A twelve-time Grammy Award winner, CeCe Winans is one of the greatest voices in contemporary gospel. She is joined here by her brother Marvin Winans, a pillar of the Winans gospel dynasty, guest singer Donnie McClurkin and the Times Square Church choir. Between the solemnity of worship and communal fervour, the performance gathers icons of the genre around powerful songs of faith and stirring moments of vocal improvisation. No reliably sourced, ordered setlist could be verified, so none is reproduced here. A precious capture for feeling the emotional power of African-American gospel and the communion of a New York congregation. Keywords: CeCe Winans live, gospel, Times Square Church, gospel concert, live performance.
