Why this recording

Recorded on 16 September 2023 according to MixesDB and aired by Boiler Room on 10 October, the set works as a showcase for the material the duo was preparing at the time, with two unreleased tracks listed as IDs. Voices from their records run through the mix, from Takura to IRAH, up to a VIP version of "Baddadan" at the close. Their own tracks, including "Liquor & Cigarettes" and "Say The Word", alternate with cuts by Bou, T>I and a bootleg of Adam F's "Circles". Boiler Room says it gave the duo the headline slot of its London night.

Filmed live set by British duo Chase & Status for Boiler Room London in 2023, in the close-up club format that made the series’ reputation. Formed by Saul Milton and Will Kennard, Chase & Status have been, since the mid-2000s, major figures of British bass music, spanning drum & bass, jungle, garage and dubstep. Their return to more club-oriented sounds, notably around the album What Came Before, comes with a live intensity that this Boiler Room format fully conveys. Filmed within the crowd, this live set unfolds a continuous run of tracks mixed live, driven by deep bass, fast breakbeats and the energy of the London dancefloor. With no official setlist — as is often the case for a DJ set — the capture stands for its atmosphere and performance: an electronic live concert documenting the contemporary UK bass scene in its most authentic setting. Year: 2023. Part of Boiler Room’s worldwide series of filmed club sets, this full live set can be watched online.
