Filmed live concert by Danakil, captured on 20 July 2020 at La Maison, an artists’ residence near Bordeaux, in France, as part of the Live à La Maison (Côté Jardin) project. Kept off the stage by the pandemic, the French reggae band celebrates its twentieth anniversary with an amplified, audience-free session filmed outdoors. The set runs through standout tracks from the repertoire — La Route des songes, Marley, Écho système, Comme je and Quitter Paname — carried by the voice of Balik and that of guest Natty Jean. Horn sections, twin keyboards and percussion give the full concert a roots warmth typical of French reggae. Directed by Matthieu Yakovleff, this live capture would later be released as a live album. A filmed live concert ideal for discovering one of the strongest French reggae bands on stage. Year: 2020, venue: near Bordeaux, France. Essential viewing for lovers of reggae and live music.
