Filmed live session by American rapper Eve for NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert, recorded at the radio’s headquarters in Washington, D.C., and released in June 2026. Programmed to open the Black Music Month celebration honoring the legacy of the BET network, the Philadelphia artist returns to the stage after several low-profile years spent settling in London, raising a family and publishing her memoir. In front of the famous vinyl-cluttered desk, Eve revisits, with a live band, tracks that are for the most part more than twenty years old, in updated arrangements that recall why she was one of the most influential women in hip-hop of the late 1990s and early 2000s. The Tiny Desk’s intimate, no-frills format highlights the rapper’s flow, presence and charisma, as well as her rapport with the band. A warm filmed live concert, at once a tribute to an era and a demonstration of undimmed influence, ideal for discovering or rediscovering a pioneer of women in rap.
