A live concert by Faun at the M’era Luna festival in Hildesheim, Germany, filmed on 9 August 2025 by ARTE Concert. A worldwide reference in the fusion of medieval sounds and contemporary music, the Bavarian band — founded in 1999 in Gräfelfing — has never abandoned its « pagan folk » of hurdy-gurdies, harps, bagpipes, percussion and singing in several languages. On the main stage of Europe’s foremost gothic and dark festival, Faun unfurls a spellbinding world where Nordic and Celtic traditions meet discreet electronics and incantatory choruses. Sonic rituals, misty atmospheres and infectious energy carry a set that precedes the release of their twelfth album, « Hex ». This live performance, filmed by a leading broadcaster, documents one of the flagship acts of the « pagan folk » / world-music movement, at the crossroads of the ancient and the contemporary. A recommended full concert for lovers of medieval folk, world music and neo-pagan atmospheres. Filmed live concert, festival, 2020s world / pagan folk.
