Filmed in September 2024 at the Modul’air club in Ghent, Belgium, this DJ set is part of the Boiler Room series, a global reference for live capture of electronic music. On the decks, Funk Tribu, a Peruvian producer who has become one of the rising figures of the hard groove and techno scene, sets the dancefloor ablaze in the dense, close-up atmosphere that is the concept’s trademark: the DJ surrounded by dancers, with no barrier between artist and crowd. His set chains together percussive rhythms, hypnotic synth lines and the characteristic breaks of a nervous, physical techno built for clubs. This multi-song filmed live set conveys the raw energy and direct interaction typical of the Boiler Room format, where the performance lies as much in the selection as in the rapport with the audience. An essential DJ set for following current trends in techno and hard groove, this Ghent session illustrates the vitality of an ever-renewing European electronic scene.
