Gorillaz live for YouTube Music Nights, recorded on 29 August 2025 at London’s Copper Box Arena. To mark the anniversary of their first album, the virtual band dreamed up by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett performs the whole of « Gorillaz » (2001), augmented with a few B-sides. Led by Damon Albarn on vocals and keys and backed by a large live band, the concert revives founding hits « Clint Eastwood », « Tomorrow Comes Today » and « 19-2000 », in a set opened by « M1 A1 ». Singer Miho Hatori joins for « Re-Hash », « New Genius (Brother) » and « 19-2000 », while the live brass of Chris Storr and James Copus colours « Rock the House » and « Latin Simone ». This filmed recording blends trip-hop, dub, alternative hip-hop and electronic pop, the Gorillaz trademark. A reference full concert to revisit the album that invented modern pop’s most influential virtual band.
