Filmed live set by J. Cole at Dreamville Festival 2024, in Dorothea Dix Park, Raleigh, North Carolina, on 7 April 2024. A rapper, producer and founder of the Dreamville label, J. Cole is one of the leading voices of American hip-hop across the 2010s–2020s, praised for his introspective lyrics and precise flow. On the stage of his own festival, at home in North Carolina, he runs through his classics — “Middle Child”, “No Role Modelz”, “Love Yourz”, “Power Trip” — and brings out a string of high-profile guests, from Jeremih to 6LACK, Central Cee, Lil Yachty and Lil Durk. This full set conveys the energy of a festival hip-hop concert, between communion with the crowd and a run of features. The capture documents J. Cole’s standing as a unifier of the contemporary rap scene and the importance of Dreamville Festival in the American music landscape. A live concert for fans of rap, stagecraft and collaborations, led by an artist at the peak of his popularity.
