Filmed live concert by Max Richter for Cercle Odyssey in Paris in 2025, in a rare immersive format for the German-British composer. A figure of post-minimalism and neo-classical music, Max Richter blends traditional orchestration with electronic textures; he has composed for dance (Wayne McGregor), film and television (Denis Villeneuve, Martin Scorsese), and created the project SLEEP, a work of more than eight hours whose tenth anniversary he marked in 2025. This full concert, performed entirely live, unfolds as a continuous suite interspersed with interludes (“Life Study 1 to 9”) and key pieces: “They Will Shade Us With Their Wings”, “A Colour Field (Holocene)”, “The Poetry of Earth (Geophony)” and “A Time Mirror (Biophony)”. Filmed within the staged setting of Cercle Odyssey (show created by Derek Barbolla), this live performance offers a sonic immersion where time seems suspended, between strings, piano and electronic layers.
