Filmed live session by young Argentine artist Milo J for NPR’s Tiny Desk, released on 30 April 2026. Hailing from Morón, on the outskirts of Buenos Aires, Milo J here steps away from trap to dive into South American folkloric traditions — chacarera, chamamé, zamba — and the sound of the Río de la Plata, joined by members of the Uruguayan murga troupe Agárrate Catalina. Behind NPR’s desk in Washington, the ensemble foregrounds charango, tiple, violin and Andean winds under the musical direction of Lautaro Fernandez. The set moves through “Recordé,” “cuestiones,” “Solifican12,” “Bajo de la Piel,” “Niño” and “Luciérnagas,” much of it drawn from the album “La Vida Era Más Corta.” An intimate, refined capture, invaluable for discovering the new generation of Argentine music in a rooted, acoustic reading. Keywords: Milo J live, Tiny Desk, Argentine folklore, world music, live concert.
