Miss Monique — Biosphère, Montreal (Cercle), 2022

On 3 October 2022, Ukrainian DJ and producer Miss Monique delivered a filmed live set for Cercle from the Biosphère in Montreal, the former United States pavilion of Expo 67 turned environment museum. Inside this iconic geodesic dome, the founder of the Siona Records label unfolds a DJ set of melodic techno and progressive house, blending atmospheric pads, hypnotic bass lines and gradual build-ups. The capture, produced by Cercle, pairs the venue’s spectacular architecture with the aerial imagery characteristic of the series, where the setting becomes part of the performance. Miss Monique premieres her track “Biosphère”, a nod to the location, within a fluid, long-form flow. A rising figure of the female electronic scene, she has made her mark through polished sets and a sense of sonic storytelling. This full DJ set, halfway between concert and visual experience, is an ideal entry point into contemporary melodic techno, to be discovered as a filmed live capture.
