Filmed at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art for the KEXP at Home series and released in 2021, this live capture showcases Noga Erez, the Israeli singer-songwriter whose biting, political electronic pop has made her one of the most distinctive voices of her generation. Backed by her longtime partner Ori Rousso (production, guitar) and drummer Ran Jacobovitz, she performs five songs — “End of the Road,” “VIEWS (feat. ROUSSO),” “Cipi,” “Switch Me Off” and “Fire Kites” — drawn largely from the album “KIDS.” Between syncopated beats, strings and finely chiseled arrangements, the performance reveals the precision of a project where hip-hop groove, art pop and electronics answer one another. Shot in a pared-down museum setting, this filmed live session offers a visual frame worthy of Noga Erez’s sonic ambition. A benchmark filmed live concert for discovering the Israeli electronic-pop scene of the 2020s and the crafted, forward-thinking songwriting at its heart.
