Why this recording

According to its synopsis, Queen's first-ever Wembley Stadium show used the largest lighting rig ever assembled for a live show and the biggest stage of its time. The 28-song programme includes a rock'n'roll interlude, running “(You're So Square) Baby I Don't Care”, “Hello Mary Lou”, “Tutti Frutti” and “Gimme Some Lovin'” together. Released by Front Row Music and distributed by Sony Pictures, the video stays in standard definition, that of the 1986 tapes.

Filmed live concert by Queen at London’s Wembley Stadium on 12 July 1986, during the Magic Tour — the band’s first ever appearance at the legendary stadium. Before more than 70,000 spectators, this full concert remains one of the peaks of filmed rock history, featuring one of the largest lighting and stage rigs of its time. Freddie Mercury (vocals, piano), Brian May (guitar), Roger Taylor (drums) and John Deacon (bass), backed by Spike Edney on keyboards, deliver a definitive setlist: “One Vision”, “A Kind of Magic”, “Under Pressure”, “Who Wants to Live Forever”, “I Want to Break Free”, “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Radio Ga Ga”, “We Will Rock You” and “We Are the Champions”, closing with “God Save the Queen”. Immortalised as Live at Wembley ’86, this live performance captures Queen at the height of its stagecraft, less than a year after Live Aid. Year: 1986. This full-length live concert is available to watch online in high definition.
