Recording of the live concert filmed on September 20, 1997 at Buenos Aires’ River Plate stadium: El Último Concierto, the final show by Argentine band Soda Stereo before their break-up. In front of tens of thousands of fans, the trio of Gustavo Cerati, Zeta Bosio and Charly Alberti closed fifteen years of Latin American rock history with a sprawling full concert of more than twenty-six songs. The live set spans the whole discography, from the new-wave fever of the early days to the darker, more sophisticated textures of their maturity, ending with De música ligera followed by the now-iconic phrase “Gracias totales,” still chanted by generations of fans. This complete version restores several songs missing from the official CD and DVD editions. An essential document of Argentine and Spanish-language rock, this filmed live concert captures the farewell of a band that remains a cornerstone of Latin American popular music.
