Why this recording

Chris Edrich, TesseracT's front-of-house engineer on the live crew, also handled the video's mix and mastering, so the published audio comes from the person who mixes the band on stage. Shot on 14 August 2025 in Carhaix-Plouguer by Impuls' Live, directed by Clément Lebraud with seven camera operators, the video follows the set from "Natural Disaster" to "Juno". The chapter list puts "War of Being", title track of the 2023 album, at 31:41: over eleven minutes, the longest stretch. Two backing singers, Kat Marsh and Rio Hellyer, join the five-piece.

TesseracT concert filmed at the Motocultor Festival in Brittany, France, in 2025. Formed in Milton Keynes, UK, the band is one of the pioneers of djent and progressive metal, a movement born in the 2000s around very low-tuned guitars, polymetric rhythms and atmospheric textures. On stage, TesseracT unfolds a cerebral, immersive metal in which the heaviness of syncopated riffs converses with clear, airy vocals and almost weightless ambiences. This filmed live concert highlights the precision of an ensemble renowned for its technical command, along with the sonic and visual dimension that defines its shows. The setting of Motocultor, a French festival devoted to extreme music, provides a fitting showcase for this performance, at once powerful and nuanced. The capture lets viewers appreciate the band’s singular balance between aggression and melody, a hallmark of contemporary progressive metal. A full concert recommended to fans of djent, prog metal and modern sonorities, confirming TesseracT’s standing among the reference acts of the genre on the international stage.
