Texas — Alcaline le concert, Paris, 2015

A full live concert by Scottish band Texas, recorded on April 30, 2015 for « Alcaline le concert », the music show on France 2. Led by the charismatic Sharleen Spiteri, the Glasgow outfit champions an elegant pop-rock, tinged with soul and immediate melodies, that has driven its success from « I Don’t Want a Lover » to « Summer Son » and « Say What You Want ». In Alcaline’s signature format — a carefully captured concert, close to the musicians — Texas delivers a generous set, carried by its singer’s unmistakable voice and the chemistry of a band seasoned since the 1990s. This filmed live performance conveys the sonic and visual quality of a benchmark show for live music in France. A full concert perfect for fans of pop, pop-rock and live music, documenting a notable television performance from the mid-2010s. A fine chance to (re)discover Texas in concert and the longevity of a major British band.
