Filmed live for French television in 1968, this concert captures The Moody Blues at the height of their psychedelic period, shortly after the release of the album Days of Future Passed. The British band performs ten songs, including the essential « Tuesday Afternoon » and « Nights in White Satin », played and then reprised as a closer. The video, remastered in both picture and sound, restores the distinctive colour of Mike Pinder’s mellotron, Ray Thomas’s flute and the vocal harmonies of Justin Hayward and John Lodge. It also features rarities such as « Legend of a Mind », a tribute to Timothy Leary, and a reading of « Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood ». This full concert is a precious document of the late-1960s progressive and psychedelic rock scene: a rare record of a pioneering symphonic-rock outfit, shot in a TV studio with the stage restraint of the era. For the enthusiast, it is a chance to see a still-youthful and inventive Moody Blues live, whose influence would leave a lasting mark on British rock music.
