A Peruvian-American percussionist, producer and arranger, Tony Succar became known for his salsa reinterpretations of popular music, including a tribute to Michael Jackson. This full concert brings a large salsa orchestra and many guest singers to the stage — among them Jean Rodríguez, Ángel López, Daniela Darcourt, Debi Nova and Gian Marco — for a repertoire that blends Latin standards with adaptations of international hits such as “Billie Jean,” “Human Nature” and “Uptown Funk.” The recording captures a sold-out night in Peru’s main concert hall, driven by the horn and percussion arrangements that characterize Succar’s work.
