Wizkid — Afro Plus Fest, Washington D.C., 2026

Live capture of Wizkid’s set at Afro Plus Fest 2026, in the Washington D.C. area (DMV, United States). The Nigerian afrobeats star Ayodeji Balogun, known as Wizkid, defends on stage the sound that carried the genre worldwide, from danceable anthems to afro-fusion ballads. In front of a West African diaspora crowd, this filmed live concert foregrounds the groove of the percussion, the round bass lines and the nonchalant phrasing of an artist who became a global reference after «Essence». The full set documents how Wizkid approaches North American stages: a party-built set-list, crowd interaction and fluid transitions carried by his band and backing vocalists. For lovers of world music and afrobeats it is a testament to the live vitality of a major movement of the 2020s. Afro Plus Fest, DMV, 2026: a live concert that illustrates the reach of the contemporary afro scene in the United States and Wizkid’s central place within it, captured in full on stage.
