Live concert by Koffi Olomidé and his orchestra Quartier Latin International, filmed for the group’s 39th anniversary, at Les Arènes, and released in late 2025. A major figure of Congolese rumba and soukous, the Kinshasa singer and creator of the tcha tcho concept unfolds a sprawling repertoire in which sentimental ballads, soaring guitars and dance sequences (sebene) follow one another in the grand tradition of modern Congolese music. Surrounded by his singers, musicians and dancers, he celebrates nearly four decades of Quartier Latin, a breeding ground for artists of the DRC scene. This filmed live concert highlights the scale of an African orchestra at the peak of its stage art, between the virtuosity of the guitarists and the fervour of the audience. A valuable document for fans of world music and Congolese rumba, showcasing the vitality of a Central African music institution. A must-see for the richness of the arrangements and the energy of an anniversary night, captured in 2025.
