A comedian, artist and widely followed personality, the American Zack Fox is also a DJ who cultivates a playful, uninhibited approach to mixing. This set, filmed for Boiler Room in New York in 2024, places him in the heart of the crowd, following the series’ principle: no raised stage, the audience surrounds the decks and the DJ plays among the dancers. An electric live recording, the video captures the high-voltage atmosphere of a night where hip-hop converses with club rap, rap anthems and a few unexpected detours. Zack Fox favors energy and direct connection with the room, stringing together crowd-uniting tracks and surges of tension in a good-natured party atmosphere. The Boiler Room format, shot handheld right up against the bodies, captures the sweat, the smiles and the crowd’s reactions as few recordings can. An ideal live DJ set for taking the pulse of the contemporary New York club hip-hop scene and its infectious energy.
