On 17 August 1991, AC/DC headlined the Monsters of Rock festival at Donington Park, England, before a vast crowd gathered for the « The Razors Edge » tour. This filmed concert, one of the Australian band’s most famous, served as the basis for the « Live at Donington » video. Brian Johnson on vocals and Angus Young on lead guitar drive a set of nearly two hours that lines up the anthems: « Thunderstruck », « Back in Black », « Hell’s Bells », « Whole Lotta Rosie », « You Shook Me All Night Long », « Highway to Hell » and « For Those About to Rock (We Salute You) » as a closer, cannons included. The rhythm section of Malcolm Young, Cliff Williams and Chris Slade anchors an uncompromising wall of sound. A complete live recording, this document restores AC/DC’s stage power in the early 1990s and the fervour of a hard-rock crowd. A reference point of the filmed concert for lovers of raw rock, big riffs and landmark festival moments in full flight.
