Boris Brejcha — Grand Palais, Paris (Cercle), 2019

On June 10, 2019, Boris Brejcha took over the nave of the Grand Palais in Paris for a DJ set filmed by Cercle, the French platform known for live streams staged in landmark locations. Beneath the monumental glass roof of the Beaux-Arts building, the German producer, architect of the style he calls ‘high-tech minimal’, delivered a live set of more than two hours built almost entirely from his own productions, from ‘Redemption’ to ‘Lieblingsmensch’. Recognizable by his Venetian joker mask, Brejcha layered crystalline melodies, rounded basslines and minimalist rhythms that played off the venue’s acoustics and daylight.
