Carl Cox — On The Beach, Brighton, 2025

Live-filmed recording of Carl Cox’s all-vinyl set at the On The Beach event in Brighton on July 26, 2025. A leading figure in techno and house since the 1990s, the British DJ returns here to a 100% vinyl format, mixing on his turntables in front of the crowd on Brighton’s seafront. This near-90-minute capture documents a continuous, uninterrupted set in which Carl Cox threads together classics and dancefloor cuts. It features Lil’ Louis’ “French Kiss,” Xpansions’ “Move Your Body (Elevation),” Underworld’s “Two Months Off” and Dave Clarke’s “Wisdom To The Wise,” in the house and techno lineage that built his reputation. The live format, filmed outdoors in daylight, highlights the craft of vinyl mixing and the connection between the DJ and his audience. This full vinyl set reflects Carl Cox’s old-school, selective approach, rooted in the physical medium of the record and the gradual construction of a set over time. Shot as a full concert document rather than a highlight reel, it offers a representative snapshot of his live practice in 2025 and of the vinyl culture he continues to champion at events such as On The Beach in Brighton.
