Made up of musicians from East Tennessee State University and led by banjo player Shannon Guitreau, the band blends gospel and bluegrass in the acoustic tradition of the Appalachians. This filmed live concert runs around twenty spiritual songs and bluegrass standards, from “I’ll Fly Away” and “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing” to “Leaning On the Everlasting Arms”, “Go Rest High” and “Mansion Over the Hilltop”, via instrumentals such as “Shuckin’ the Corn” and “Clinch Mountain Backstep”. Banjo, guitar, mandolin, fiddle, dobro and upright bass answer one another in a spirit of communion with the congregation.
