FAMU Gospel Choir — Florida A&M University, Tallahassee, 2026

Live recording of a gospel concert by the FAMU Gospel Choir, the gospel vocal ensemble of Florida A&M University, a historically Black university (HBCU) in Tallahassee, Florida (USA). This 2026 full concert belongs to a long choral tradition: FAMU’s gospel choir, active since the late 1950s, is one of the campus’s signature choral activities alongside the renowned FAMU Concert Choir. The African American gospel repertoire it carries blends contemporary praise songs, spirituals and multi-part arrangements, backed by piano, organ, drums and bass, with the fervor typical of HBCU gospel services and concerts. This filmed concert captures the collective energy of a student choir: tight harmonies, featured soloists, call-and-response with the audience and a steady build of spiritual intensity. With no officially documented setlist for this specific recording, the video retains its value as a document of the vitality of American collegiate gospel and of the cultural reach of Florida A&M University in Tallahassee in 2026. A genuine window into the living HBCU gospel tradition.
