Why this recording

Co-produced by Milgram Productions and TVPROD with the participation of France Télévisions, the film is directed by Sebastian Bergé and was published by the band itself in March 2021. The audio has a dedicated mix by Daniel Bongard, separate from Torsten Langsdorf's front-of-house mix and David Hadenfeld's monitors. Of seventeen tracks, only two are MEUTE compositions, The Drums Pt. 1 and Pt. 2, placed in the last third of the set. The same recording was also released as an album, Live in Paris.

Live concert film of MEUTE at Le Trianon in Paris, recorded on 20 March 2019 and released as « Live in Paris ». A techno marching band from Hamburg, MEUTE gathers eleven musicians who reinterpret electronic-music classics using nothing but brass and acoustic percussion. This full concert turns tracks by Deadmau5 (« Gula »), Âme (« Rej »), Solomun (« Customer Is King »), Laurent Garnier (« The Man with the Red Face ») and Trentemøller (« Miss You ») into organic, physical versions, without computers or sequencers. The band’s power lies in that contrast: the rhythmic precision of a techno set delivered through the breath and sweat of a brass band. Filmed in the historic Trianon hall, this live recording captures the collective trance of a MEUTE concert, between house build-ups and a surge of sousaphone and snare drums. A live concert film perfect for grasping this unusual crossover between club electronica and street music, now the German group’s trademark.
