On May 9, 2017, after twelve years apart, the trio O-Zone reunited for a single appearance in Piata Universitatii in Bucharest, Romania, during the Europe Day concert. This filmed live moment brings back the original lineup, Dan Balan, Arsenie Todiras and Radu Sirbu, before an enormous crowd gathered to mark the event. The band, revealed to the world by Dragostea din tei (number one on the Eurocharts for thirteen weeks in 2003), performs De ce plang chitarele, Despre tine and its global smash, setting off a wave of nostalgia. This exceptional reunion, widely covered by the Romanian press, was part of an evening bringing together many artists (Akcent, Inna, Alexandra Stan and more). A short set, as such public events tend to be, it is nonetheless a valuable document. For fans of pop, eurodance and 2000s nostalgia, this O-Zone live concert in Bucharest in 2017 revives a worldwide phenomenon for the length of a few songs, reuniting three voices that defined a moment in pop history.
