This filmed live concert captures Jamaican singer Richie Spice during a set at the Reggae Sun Splash festival, in 2026. A figure of contemporary roots reggae who emerged in the early 2000s, Richie Spice defends a conscious reggae, its lyrics social and spiritual, carried by a warm voice and a measured delivery. On stage, backed by his band, he unfolds a full set that lets the highlights of his repertoire breathe in the one-drop tradition, round bass and skanking guitar on the offbeat. The festival capture conveys the direct relationship with a crowd of reggae fans and the open-air atmosphere typical of such events. Representative of 2020s live reggae, this filmed live concert illustrates the vitality of a Jamaican scene that keeps the roots heritage alive beyond the island’s borders. A document of witness value on an established artist, between positive messages and insistent grooves, to discover as a filmed live concert.
