Scorpions — Arena 8888, Sofia, 2026

On 27 June 2026, Scorpions performed at Arena 8888 in Sofia as part of the anniversary tour marking sixty years of the band’s career. Formed in Hanover in 1965, the German group led by singer Klaus Meine and guitarist Rudolf Schenker remains one of the pillars of hard rock and heavy metal worldwide. In Sofia, the live concert opened with a retrospective video package before rolling through hits and newer tracks: “Coming Home,” “Gas in the Tank,” “The Zoo,” “Bad Boys Running Wild,” “Send Me an Angel,” “Wind of Change,” “Tease Me Please Me,” “Big City Nights” and the essential ballad “Still Loving You.” The encore paired “Blackout” with “Rock You Like a Hurricane.” The set, running roughly one hour and forty-five minutes, wove a 1970s medley together with bass and drum solos, summing up six decades of repertoire.
