Scorpions — Rock in Rio Lisboa, 2024

On 15 June 2024, Scorpions headlined the Palco Mundo main stage at Rock in Rio Lisboa, the festival’s 20th-anniversary edition at Parque Tejo. This filmed live concert captures the German veterans — active since 1965 — on their “Love at First Sting 40 Years” tour, marking four decades since the 1984 album. The long-stable line-up of Klaus Meine (vocals), Rudolf Schenker and Matthias Jabs (guitars), Paweł Mąciwoda (bass) and Mikkey Dee (drums) delivers a career-spanning set. It runs through hard-rock staples “The Zoo”, “Blackout” and “Big City Nights”, an acoustic reading of the power ballad “Send Me an Angel”, the ever-present “Wind of Change”, and “Gas in the Tank” from the 2022 record Rock Believer. The full concert closes with the classic one-two of “Still Loving You” and “Rock You Like a Hurricane”.
