Spirit of Praise 10 — SunBet Arena, Tshwane, 2024

Spirit of Praise 10 is a South African gospel concert captured live at the SunBet Arena in Tshwane (Pretoria) and released in 2024, the tenth instalment of a praise series that has become an institution in South Africa. Led by producer and choir director Benjamin Dube, this filmed live concert brings together a large choir and a host of leading voices from the South African gospel scene, including Dumi Mkokstad, Mmatema, Canaan Nyathi and Taki Ndou. The show blends contemporary worship, powerful choral harmonies and collective fervour, in the great tradition of African gospel where music and spirituality are one. The capture conveys the scale of an arena production, the audience’s engagement and the emotional intensity of the worship leaders. This first part of the concert illustrates the vitality of a gospel scene that shines far beyond South African borders. A reference document for lovers of gospel, worship music and live captures, recorded in Tshwane in 2024.
