On 14 November 1997, the Bee Gees took over the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas for One Night Only, a filmed live concert that became one of the trio’s most widely seen performances. Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb delivered nearly two hours of hits spanning three decades, from the early folk-pop harmonies of “Massachusetts”, “To Love Somebody” and “New York Mining Disaster 1941” to the disco peak of “Night Fever”, “More Than a Woman” and “You Should Be Dancing”. The set also features songs the brothers wrote for other artists, such as “Islands in the Stream”, and a moving tribute to their younger brother Andy Gibb on “(Our Love) Don’t Throw It All Away”. Céline Dion joins the Gibb brothers for “Immortality”. Backed by a full orchestra and polished arrangements, this full concert captures the vocal longevity of the Australian-British group and its command of the stage. A reference document for understanding the Bee Gees’ place in pop and disco history, presented as a complete filmed live concert.
