A live session by Billie Eilish recorded at NPR Music’s Tiny Desk, behind the famous Washington D.C. desk, and released on 12 December 2024. For her second appearance in the series — after her 2020 home concert — the Los Angeles singer, then 22, trades the electronic minimalism of her records for a hushed acoustic approach. Joined by her brother and lifelong collaborator FINNEAS on guitar, backed by piano, bass and understated drums, she rearranges four songs drawn mainly from the album “Hit Me Hard and Soft”: “THE GREATEST,” “L’AMOUR DE MA VIE,” “i love you” and the worldwide hit “BIRDS OF A FEATHER.” Stripped back, the performance foregrounds the subtlety of her singing, the sibling harmonies and a command of dynamics that turns each number into a confidence. An intimate, meticulously produced live capture, this filmed concert shows why Billie Eilish has become one of the most distinctive voices in 2020s pop.
