That night, Stephen Stills’ band Manassas headlined; during the intermission, David Crosby and Graham Nash walked on to join Stills for a three-part-harmony performance, the trio’s first reunion since their 1970 split. Halfway through, Neil Young stepped out from backstage, effectively reassembling Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and setting the stage for their landmark 1974 tour. This full concert threads crystalline vocal harmonies through a program of unreleased material and classics: Helplessly Hoping, Wooden Ships, the Beatles cover Blackbird, Human Highway, Long Time Gone and Change Partners.
