An exceptional live recording of Canadian band Max Webster, filmed at the Le Cercle Électrique club in Quebec City on March 19, 1976. This is the longest known live recording of Kim Mitchell’s group: at this early date the band had not yet released an album, yet the concert already features most of the songs that would fill their five studio records. Spread across four sets, this full concert captures the eccentric hard rock and melodic instinct that built Max Webster’s reputation on the Ontario scene. The setlist includes « Diamonds Diamonds », « Toronto Tontos », « Hangover » and a cover of « 96 Tears ». Transferred from a period cassette and remastered, this live performance is a raw document of a cult 1970s band poised between progressive rock and raucous bar-room energy. A rare window onto the Quebec and Canadian rock scene, essential for fans of Kim Mitchell and the history of live rock.
