Grupo Galé — Live Anniversary, 2024

A filmed live concert by Grupo Galé, the Colombian salsa orchestra led by percussionist Diego Galé, at an anniversary show in 2024. A reference point for Medellín salsa, the band offers a dance-oriented salsa dura, driven by a powerful brass section, sharp percussion and signature choruses. This capture documents a live set in which the orchestra moves through its songs before a won-over crowd, with the infectious energy inherent to the genre. You hear the montunos, the brass solos and the percussion breaks that get dancers on their feet, in the great tradition of salsa orchestras. The live format highlights the group’s cohesion, the art of the arrangement and the collective swing that define its reputation on stage. For fans of Colombian salsa, Latin music and large orchestras, this filmed live concert offers a lively, festive record, representative of a scene that remains very active. An entry that brings a Colombian colour to the latin section of Livconcert’s catalogue.
