Live filmed concert by French rapper Josman as part of the ninth edition of Hip Hop Symphonique, recorded on 14 November 2024 at the Auditorium of Radio France in Paris and broadcast by ARTE Concert. Launched by Radio France, the project invites rap and R&B artists to reinterpret their songs re-orchestrated for symphony orchestra. For the first time, the event spotlights a single artist: Josman, a leading figure of the new French rap scene, revisiting his repertoire — “Si tu savais”, “Les Flammes”, “Intro” — in arrangements by composers Issam Krimi and Camille Pépin. He is backed by the Orchestre philharmonique de Radio France, a choir and the ten musicians of the jazz-and-gospel ensemble The Ice Kream. The meeting of rap and classical music yields a broad, cinematic rereading of his tracks, carried by the Auditorium’s acoustics. A full live concert and a fresh way to rediscover Josman in a symphonic setting.
