Recorded on 19 November 2025 in the KEXP radio studio in Seattle, this full performance captures Khruangbin’s instantly recognisable instrumental groove. A Texan trio expanded for the occasion, the band cultivates a cottony sound where psychedelic funk meets soul, dub and influences from around the world. On this live capture, Laura Lee’s round bass, Mark Speer’s airy guitar lines and Donald ‘DJ’ Johnson’s restrained playing draw out four tracks — ‘Two Fish and an Elephant’, ‘August Twelve’, ‘Balls and Pins’ and ‘White Gloves’ — in a hypnotic, hushed atmosphere. True to KEXP’s visual and sonic standards, the video renders every nuance of a band that prizes space and silence as much as notes. For fans of instrumental funk and cinematic grooves, this live session is a treat. A filmed concert, complete and sourced, best heard on headphones.
