Rema — Rock in Rio Lisboa, 2026

A live concert by Nigerian star Rema at the Rock in Rio Lisboa 2026 festival, in Lisbon, captured from the event’s official broadcast. A major figure of the new afrobeats wave, Divine Ikubor, aka Rema, broke through internationally with the “Calm Down” phenomenon before confirming his headliner status on the world’s major stages. This full concert unfurls his signature afro-rave, a blend of afrobeats, pop, trap and Indian and Middle Eastern influences, carried by explosive stage energy and a strong visual direction. Before the Portuguese audience of one of the most emblematic festivals in the world, the artist alternates global hits and darker tracks, backed by a band and an ambitious staging. The capture conveys the scale of the performance and the fervour of the crowd, attesting to the growing reach of African music on the global pop scene. A filmed concert representative of 2020s afrobeats, this set illustrates why Rema has become one of the most prominent ambassadors of the African continent.
