Full concert by Linkin Park filmed at the Pinkpop festival, on the Megaland site in Landgraaf, Netherlands, on May 27, 2012. The Californian band was then touring Living Things, their fifth album released a few weeks later, while revisiting the nu metal repertoire that made their name on Hybrid Theory and Meteora. This ninety-minute live capture alternates classics and newer material: A Place for My Head, Given Up, Faint, Numb, Somewhere I Belong, Waiting for the End, The Catalyst, What I’ve Done, In the End and One Step Closer. Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda share vocals, rap and intensity, backed by Joe Hahn’s turntable textures. Recorded three years before Chester Bennington’s death, this live concert documents Linkin Park in full command of the stage, moving between heavy riffs, electronics and anthemic choruses. A valuable record of one of the major bands of the 2000s and 2010s in front of one of Europe’s most loyal festival crowds, captured in high definition on the vast Dutch main stage.
