Luke Combs — Rupp Arena, Lexington, 2020

Full concert video of Luke Combs at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky, on 14 February 2020, during the What You See Is What You Get Tour. Having become in a few years one of American country’s biggest draws, the North Carolina singer delivers a complete full concert here, captured in a sold-out arena. The set runs through most of his hits — « Beautiful Crazy », « When It Rains It Pours », « Hurricane », « Beer Never Broke My Heart » and « Does to Me » — carried by a raspy voice and an immediate melodic sense. Between intimate ballads and stadium anthems sung back by the whole crowd, the performance illustrates the formula that made Luke Combs a commercial phenomenon without abandoning the codes of traditional country. Released by his official channel, this live recording offers a faithful document of his flagship tour, at a pivotal moment in his career, just before the worldwide halt to concerts in 2020.
