On 21 September 2024, Moby celebrated the twenty-fifth anniversary of his cult album « Play » at Antwerp’s Sportpaleis in Belgium, on a European tour. This concert, the tour’s only filmed date and broadcast by ARTE Concert, sees the American musician, DJ, guitarist and composer revisit the tracks that made « Play » the soundtrack of a generation, with over twelve million copies sold. On stage, surrounded by his musicians and backing vocalists, Moby alternates the album’s electro-blues hits with successes from other records, from « Go » to « Lift Me Up ». The hypnotic staging, the lighting and the collective energy make this live recording a high point, carried by an artist long committed to the animal cause. A major figure of electronic music, Moby delivers here a generous filmed concert at the crossroads of electro, sampled blues and pop. A reference for lovers of electronic music and filmed arena concerts, to relive in full, sustained by constant emotion and a keen sense of visual staging.
