A live concert filmed as part of the 2020 ARTE Concert Festival, co-produced with Record Makers and La Blogothèque, this performance features Sébastien Tellier, a singular figure of French chanson and pop. A melancholy dandy who emerged in the early 2000s, the singer-songwriter unfolds a carefully chosen repertoire spanning his whole career: from the essential La Ritournelle to Divine (his 2008 Eurovision entry), by way of Sexual Sportswear, L’Amour et la Violence and Fantino. The set includes a tribute to Christophe on La Dolce Vita, performed as a duet with Juliette Armanet. Between silky orchestrations, vintage synths and a suave voice, Tellier builds an atmosphere at once sensual and offbeat, true to his cosmic-crooner world. Filmed with La Blogothèque’s characteristic visual care, this capture offers an ideal overview of the work of an unclassifiable artist, between French variété, electronic pop and dreamy romanticism. A reference filmed concert for rediscovering the French pop scene.
